We believe our Post-16 at AVA should provide the best courses for our students. Therefore we are designing a curriculum that is quite different from other schools in the area. The key principles we believe are:
- Our students need a programme of study that is made up of different courses that lead them to a career or university course.
- The programmes should build on the courses students have succeeded at in Years 10 and 11.
- The majority of students do well on a more vocational programme rather than the traditional A levels.
- Our Post-16 students should be prepared for leadership, employment and personal development.
We have designed a Post-16 offer based around a programme recommended by our staff and based on your GCSE grades but fine tuned through one to one interviews.
