In Primary we have had lots of rainbows and silly hats in school today, it has been lovely to see all the different colours and support for such a wonderful charity even through to our catering staff who have supported us with Pudsey biscuits.
Tuesday 14th November was World Diabetes Awareness Day and this week many of us in school are wearing a blue ribbon to show our solidarity with those who have to cope with managing diabetes every day.
Exam stress can be really challenging, not only for children but for those who live with them. Research shows that having someone to talk to about their work can help students going through the exam process. Support from a parent, teacher or friend can help young people share their worries and keep things in perspective.
Winter mocks begin on Monday and this week the students have been working hard to make sure they are fully prepared for the exams.
GCSE and BTEC certificates and Art coursework are now available to collect from AVA Secondary Reception.
There are still a very limited number of spaces left for the 5-day outdoor residential experience with The Outward Bound Trust in Cumbria for Years 8, 9 and 10. The first Remembrance ceremony in the UK was held in London in 1920, and this week at AVA we have held our own acts of Remembrance in both the Primary and Secondary phases.
