After School PE Clubs
The PE Department are reintroducing some extracurricular opportunities for students the week commencing Monday, 02 November 2020 which will run from 3:00-4:00pm.
Each extra-curricular activity will take place within a year group bubble to mirror a normal school day. The activities we are offering are approved by the National Governing Body for each sport in compliance with the DCMS guidelines.
We are very lucky to have an external experienced coach leading the Hockey Club for Year 7 and 8 and we feel this is a great opportunity for both beginners and skilled players. Students are welcome to bring their own mouth guards, shin pads and hockey sticks, however, sticks will be provided at the extra-curricular club.
Year 11 also have the opportunity to let off some steam on Friday after school with a Fitness Club being led by a number of Year 11 prefects. This club will vary on a weekly basis with the main emphasis being mental well-being, being active and getting fit.
All equipment that is being used during extra-curricular will be sanitised before and after each use. Students will need to bring their own water bottle and sanitise their hands at the start and end of the club. PE kit expectations are the same as curriculum time, therefore, students need to ensure they have their full AVA PE kit in order to participate.
The aim of these clubs is to increase physical activity levels of the students where the students select an activity from the following list:
|Year 10||Year 9||Year 8||Year 7||Year 11|
