The Aylesbury Vale Academy are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to work in the Academy Finance Department.
This is an exciting time at the Aylesbury Vale Academy, an all-through Academy taking students from nursery right up to the 6thForm. In our new state of the art buildings, the academy is now set on a course of significant growth in an area of the country which is itself seeing a period of significant development.
The Finance Department plays a key role in supporting the Academy at this critical stage of development and the deployment of its strategic plan.
Reporting to the Academy Business Manager, the responsibilities of the Finance Manager will encompass:
- Financial Reporting
- Financial Management
- Statutory Funding and Income Management
- Capital Expenditure
- Annual Audit
- Purchase Ledger
- Procurement and Contracting
- Staff Management
Ideally, the candidate will have experience of working in a school finance environment, have good organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and be a good team player. They must be methodical and logical in their approach as well as proactive, adaptable and flexible in meeting the academy needs.
