May Half Term Holiday
Welcome to the Half Term Holiday (Week 10!)
Firstly, we would like to thank you for all of your support during this last half term. We know how challenging it is balancing working from home and schooling your children and you have all been doing an amazing job. We would like to remind you that there is no expectation to get all of the tasks completed, but to do as much or as little as you can as well as spending quality time together, keeping safe and well. Your emails and photographs have been a joy to read each week and it has been absolutely wonderful to see what you and your children have been getting up to, whether it is a home learning activity or a life skill in action.
Over the last two weeks, we have begun our doorstep visits and have been able to catch up with some of you and your children, which has been a joy. It is so lovely to see how much each child has grown as well as to talk with you and see how you all are. We are going to continue these visits over the next few weeks and will try to catch up with as many of you as possible, so please do not be alarmed if we are on your doorstep. We are just saying hello!
As it is half term, this week we have set a little project for your child to complete. We have had some fabulous feedback about all of the videos we have shared with you, so this time, it is down to your child.
We would like them to create their own video of them recreating their favourite story or reading their own story. We have attached a PDF to give you some guidance as to what it could look like. When you have recorded or taken a picture of your story (you can do this on a phone) you can send it to us at the school and we will pick some winning entries. With your permission, we may even put some on the AVA website! We hope that this is an activity that can be enjoyed by all.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing what exciting things you get up to.
Please remember to contact us via the school enquiries email for your year group, whether you want to share what you have been up to, or if you need some support or a chat - we are here to help.
Kind regards from all the staff at Aylesbury Vale Academy Primary School.
