PTA

Welcome to the PTA section of our website. Our 2 PTAs (FoBS and FAVA) are very active and raise thousands of pounds every year to enhance the education of the children at the school.  The PTA is a way for parents and carers of children in the academy to come together and help support the work of the school.

FAVA – Friends of AVA

The secondary school PTA (FAVA – Friends of AVA) has recently been created with the following purposes in mind:

• To ‘support the AVA for the benefit of the students’

• We’d do this by ‘providing activities to fun raise and fund raise’

• To provide additional funds towards educational school trips and equipment

• One outcome we hope to see would be an ‘Increase in strength of relationship between the parents and the AVA’, as they come together and help support the work of the school’

At present we’re a friendly, small and welcoming group and we have meetings in school or at the Cotton Wheel pub.  We are always looking for new people who can come and be a part to help with thinking up new activities, coordinating, running, and advertising events.  Please come along to a meeting or email us if you'd like to find out more, fava@theacademy.me
