PSHE Policy Consultation

We would like to invite parents/carers to the consultation period for the new statutory Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) policy, which will take effect from September 2020 at The Aylesbury Vale Academy.

We have carefully considered the ethos and identity of our school, and have been sensitive and mindful of the multi-cultural/ multi-faith and multi-ages to which the policy applies. We have already consulted with a number of key stakeholders including students, staff and governors.

We believe that this is a policy which will serve all of our students, from Reception through to Year 13, appropriately and sensitively, whilst addressing the key requirements of the Department for Education’s new framework for Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) which are required by September 2020.

Any comments should be submitted by no later than Friday, 03 July 2020 and directed to with the subject line PSHE/RSE POLICY.
