Primary Parliament

Our School Parliament is an important part of the life of our school. Parliament is made up of the Head Boy, Head Girl, Prefect team, House Captains and class representatives from across the Primary phase.

Head Boy, Head Girl and the Prefect team are elected by all pupils and staff in Years 1-6. House captains are elected by their fellow house mates in Years 5 and 6. Voting commences after pupils give public speeches.

Years 1-5 have a class MP who also gain a place on School Parliament. They perform a speech to their class and their classmates then vote.

School Parliament meet regularly to help evaluate the school's provision and to provide a voice for the children in planning various events and initiatives.  Examples include charitable events and fundraising, improving break and lunchtimes provision and appointing new staff.
