Week 11 - wc 1 June 2020
Welcome Year 5 to Week 11!
Good morning Year 5,
We hope you had a relaxing half term! If you found time to complete our half term project, we'd love to see photos! You can send them to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Your work for this week is as follows:
We are still looking at shape. Lessons 1 and 2 are looking to complete the angles lessons which includes measuring angles (there is a protractor on the lesson page which is great - remember to use it!). In lessons 3-5, we begin to explore perimeter and area, and how to measure them.
PiXL Times Tables
Continue to practice your times tables - 5 minutes a day is enough to make a difference!
Show My Homework Quizzes
There are the usual mixture of arithmetic and SPaG quizzes for you to look at. We would love to see a score of 7 and above in any quiz you complete... are you up for the challenge?
Remember to be reading for 5-10 minutes every day.
This week, we have grouped English and Science together. Look on Show My Homework for the task instructions.

All the work for these lessons can e found on Show My Homework.
On Show My Homework, there is a FIVE WEEK art project. Work through the attached document - each page tells you what week you need to complete the activity for.
Joe Wicks is now in his 11th week of being the nation's PE teacher! Continue to support him, and get moving each morning!
Avid Harry Potter fans will have heard that J K Rowling is releasing a previously unseen fairytale called The Ickabog. She is offering the opportunity for you to read each chapter of the story, and then complete an illustration for it. Winning illustrations will then be used when the book is put to print in November. If you are interested in this, look at the following website for more details: https://www.theickabog.com/home/
We hope you have a brilliant week!
Keep safe, keep smiling, and be kind, always!
Mrs Foulger and Mrs Tucker.
