Week 15 - wc 29 June 2020
Welcome Year 6 to Week 15!
We really enjoyed welcoming even more of you back to school last week, look forward to seeing eve more of you again tomorrow and are still really enjoying all of the work you are emailing to us. It is not a normal school day but we are enjoying getting to see everybody after so much time at home.
We also really enjoyed getting out and about around school this week and seeing a few of your faces. We will be completing some more visits this week and can drop around paper copies of work with us too! If you would particularly like to see Mr Sandalls or Mrs Stewart you can email us to let us know!
This week we are again including a task on SMHW which details the learning we will be doing in class, if you are not in school you can do all the same tasks that we are. I will upload anything that we complete to SMHW so that you can see how we have been getting on! The task is called Monday and has a mix of activities. We have noticed that some of you have outstanding work on MyMaths - your MyMaths should be kept up to date - if you have anything outstanding please try to complete them, you still have access to each task and they are all important!
A huge well done to all of you that are accessing all the learning at home and remembering to complete all the MyMaths and Show My Homework tasks. We are keeping note of those of you that are consistently completing all your learning and will be adding achievement points when we are back at school. Remember to keep checking MyMaths and SMHW every Monday! We have noticed that some of you have outstanding work on MyMaths - your MyMaths should be kept up to date - if you have anything outstanding please try to complete them, you still have access to each task and they are all important!
This week on SMHW there is lots to keep you busy - the overall theme of the week is code-breaking! Think like a WWII spy! This week's writing focus on a Spitfire non-chronolgocial report. There is another Google computing task for you to complete. We have really enjoyed seeing your creations so far. R.E this week gives you the chance to show us what you've learned about creation stories through the medium of art! We are continuing our topics in Science and there is another chapter of Goodnight Mister Tom to read.
Finally there is one more very special task on SMHW this week. We would like you all to complete a page for a Year 6 Yearbook! It is really important that these look great and that you send them to us as soon as you can so that we can create the book! All the details are on the task in SMHW. Have fun with it!
We hope that you enjoy it and look forward to seeing what you have done.
Remember, you can send photos of your work to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Be kind, stay safe and work hard.
Mr Sandalls and Mrs Stewart
