Welcome Seahorses to Week 7!

Hi everyone,

I am missing you all and hope you’re all enjoying playing at home. 😊

This week I thought we would do our phase 1 phonics.  Understanding our sounds and rhythm. And recognising our 2d shapes and 3d shapes using a variety of building blocks.

Phase 1 phonics listening to sounds and rhythm:πŸ‘‚πŸŽΊπŸŽΆπŸ¦ΆπŸ‘

What sounds can you hear at home?  What sounds can you hear in the garden and on your daily walk?  Can you copy the sounds, record the sounds and listen to them?  Can you make sounds using your body? I.e. clapping, stamping, tapping.  Can you repeat the sounds?  Can you perform quiet sounds, loud sounds?  Explore instruments, what sounds can you hear?  Listen to a variety of music, can you hear the sounds in the music and instruments playing?  Can you listen to quiet music and loud music?  Can you make music with water?  Can you make your own instruments?  Sounds are everywhere! 😊

2d shapes and 3d shapes using building blocks: πŸ’œπŸ”΅πŸ”ΊπŸ”Ά Use wooden bricks, Dulpo, Lego and any other building blocks you have at home?

Can you build a tall tower?  A small tower?  Can you name your shapes?  Can you sort your shapes?  Can you count they?
