Week 9 - wc 18 May 2020
Welcome Year 6 to Week 9!
Good morning Year 6!
We hope you had a successful week of home-schooling last week, and had lots of fun along the way!
A huge well done to all of the children that completed all of their work on MyMaths this week. There were lots of you and we will be awarding you all some achievement points in recognition of your hard work. Keep it up and there'll be more points waiting for you next week!
This week lots of the work on Show My Homework is focusing on chapter 2 and 3 from Goodnight Mister Tom. There is some reading and writing work relating to the chapters and I have attached pdf. versions of each chapter to the tasks. Enjoy and please submit you diary entries to us on SMHW.
As well as the English work there is a Maths and Art challenge, some History and DT, R.E and some work on transition for this week. Enjoy.
There is also an extra challenge - before the school closed, the AVA Anti-Bullying Ambassadors had been working extremely hard to create a short movie before the end of the Academic Year. They have had to change their plans slightly and would now like to collect as many pictures as possible of staff and students, holding a poster in front of them, describing what is 'unique' about them. The photos will be displayed throughout a recording of the song "This is me". There are some examples on SMHW to give you some ideas. If you'd like to be involved, get an adult to send us your picture with permission for us to include it in the video and share it.
Remember, you can send photos of your work to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Be kind, stay safe and work hard.
Mr Sandalls and Mrs Stewart
