Student Parliament Learns About Disability Inclusion with The Pace Centre
On Friday, members of our Student Parliament took part in an engaging awareness session delivered by The Pace Centre. The workshop helped students deepen their understanding of cerebral palsy, disability inclusion, and the vital support Pace provides to children and their families.
During the session, students explored some of the day-to-day challenges faced by children living with cerebral palsy and considered how disability links to accessibility, inclusion and equality. They also heard real-life stories from children supported by Pace, giving valuable insight into the lived experiences behind the charity’s work. Students then reflected on the part they can play in helping to build a more inclusive society.
Inspired by what they learned, the Student Parliament will now work together to develop a project to raise awareness of Pace and highlight the organisation’s positive impact within our community. We look forward to sharing their plans in the coming weeks.
