Inspiring Futures: Students Attend Pioneers Day at Bucks New Uni
On Thursday 30 April, a group of Year 9 and 10 students will attend Pioneers Day at Buckinghamshire New University.
Pioneers Day is an outreach programme designed to support young people who are currently under-represented in higher education, particularly those from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
The programme offers engaging workshops, inspiring talks, and opportunities to connect with positive role models. It includes two focused strands:
- Students of Black African, Caribbean, or mixed heritage
- Female students of Bangladeshi, Pakistani, or mixed heritage
There are also guidance sessions for parents, providing useful information and practical support to help them guide their children through their educational journey.
