Harvest Festival House Competition 2026 (Secondary)
.png)
Harvest Festival is a tradition that brings communities together to give thanks for the food grown and gathered at the end of the growing season. It is also an opportunity to think about those who may not have enough and to share what we can with people in need.
Students are asked to bring in donations on the day allocated to their House. Parliament students will collect items from tutor rooms each morning:
- Attenborough – Monday 5 October
- Curie – Tuesday 6 October
- King – Wednesday 7 October
- Nightingale – Thursday 8 October
- Seacole & Turing – Friday 9 October
Donations will be displayed in Reception throughout the week, and the House donating the most items will receive the most House Points. The winning House will be announced on Monday 12 October.
All donations will go to the Aylesbury Vineyard Storehouse, and we will also be working with our local primary school to support people in need within our community.
Suggested donations include:
- Tinned meat or fish
- Tinned vegetables, fruit or pulses
- Tinned soup
- Dry rice or microwave rice
- Pasta and instant noodles
- Pasta or cooking sauces
- Custard and tinned desserts
- Biscuits
- Tea bags and coffee
- Spreads
- Cereal
- UHT milk
Please make sure all items are unopened and in date.
Every item counts – both towards your child’s House total and, most importantly, towards helping a local family.
