AVA New York City Trip 2026: An Unforgettable Experience

Students from AVA enjoyed an incredible visit to New York City, packed with iconic landmarks, unique experiences and plenty of memorable moments. From breathtaking skyline views to soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Times Square, the trip was full of excitement from start to finish.

The visit began with spectacular views from the Top of the Rock, followed by an afternoon exploring Fifth Avenue and an evening in Times Square for dinner and shopping. Students embraced the energy of the city, with lots of walking, smiles and laughter as they took in the famous surroundings.

Sunny weather accompanied the group downtown, where students enjoyed a boat ride to the Statue of Liberty and a thought-provoking visit to One World Trade Center. Evenings were spent soaking up the atmosphere of Times Square, experiencing the bright lights and buzz that make New York so iconic.

A real highlight of the trip came with a visit to the top of One Times Square. The observation deck had only been open for 33 days and AVA students received VIP treatment, with exclusive access to the deck. After refuelling with Raising Cane’s, the group enjoyed shopping and a stroll towards Macy’s, with perfect views of the Empire State Building along the way. The day finished with the famous Midnight Moment in Times Square — tired but very happy students.

The sunshine continued, with a perfect 25°C rounding off the visit. Students made the most of Central Park, joining locals for games of American football and volleyball while soaking up the atmosphere of the city. The trip concluded with a visit to the iconic Plaza Hotel before heading to the airport.

Throughout the visit, AVA students were outstanding ambassadors for the school — a real credit to the community and an absolute pleasure to travel with. The memories made in New York City will last a lifetime.
