A Fond Farewell to Year 13

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a heartfelt and joyful farewell party for our Year 13 students.

The occasion was filled with laughter, reflection, and celebration as we marked the end of their journey with us. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved during their time at AVA and wish them every success as they take their next steps into the future.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Parent-Teacher Association for their continued support, and in particular for providing the ‘Class of 2025’ wristbands, which were presented to each student during the event. These mementoes serve as a meaningful reminder of their time at school and the friendships they’ve formed along the way.

As part of our annual tradition, the Sixth Form Team also announced the recipient of the Reading List Foundation Scholarship, an award of £275 recognising outstanding achievement across Years 12 and 13.

We are delighted to share that this year’s award goes to Tayla D, who has gone above and beyond in every aspect of her Sixth Form journey. Tayla has:

  • Achieved exceptional academic results
  • Independently studied for an A Level in English beyond her timetabled lessons
  • Served as an exemplary prefect
  • Completed the Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award
  • Had her poetry published
  • And impressively, completed a half marathon

We are incredibly proud of Tayla and all she has accomplished. We wish her the very best as she begins her university journey, and we look forward to hearing about her future successes.
