Lessons from Auschwitz
Earlier this year, we signed up to the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Lessons from Auschwitz project. On Wednesday, Mrs Leach, and two Year 12 students, Megan and Emily, visited Auschwitz as part of the programme.
The visit is one element of the project, which challenges students to educate their peers about the Holocaust by focusing on the real people behind the history — their faces, names and stories — rather than viewing it as statistics alone.
In the coming weeks, Megan and Emily will be sharing their reflections on both the project and their visit. We look forward to passing on their insights and learning from their experiences.
