Sports update w/e 19th January 2024

Year 7 played in the JBL against Princes Risborough sporting their brand new Orlando Magic kits. The boys eventually lost the game, but it was great to see so many students working together and enjoying the sport. We look forward to the next game.

In netball this week, year 7 played a fantastic game of netball against Mandeville and won 21 - 0 last week, year 9 lost 7 - 4 but played equally well with the help of some year 8 players filling in. Training continues on a Monday for all year groups.

In football this week. Year 7 won their first competitive fixture against The John Colet school in a stunning victory winning the game 6-2 from 2 goals down. Maliki Parsons bagged himself a hat-trick with Thomas Victory also claiming a brace and Jayden Nlleya scoring the final goal. A huge congratulations to the entire team.

Year 8 also played their first competitive game this week in a fierce battle again The John Colet school. AVA eventually lost the game 0-1 but all the lads involved showed great resilience, tenacity and teamwork so a big well done to them. We look forward to the next fixture.

The P.E department welcomes the arrival of the new sports ambassadors and prefects and we look forward to working together.
