Congratulations to all our students who received their GCSE grades.

It was fantastic to see all students in school after such a long absence and great to share in their successes. We are disappointed that some students were not able to hear the news of their vocational qualifications at the same time and we hope that we can share these with students in the next few days.
Staff at the Academy went through a rigorous two-month process to ensure accurate 'Centre Assessed Grades' were submitted to exam boards. All grades were based on a wide range of evidence from mocks, tests, as well as classwork and homework. We are confident that students received the grades they deserved and were as accurate an assessment as possible. The results were also in line with the strong tend of improvement at AVA over the past few years.
Staff were on hand today to provide further advice and guidance to students about choosing their next steps in education, employment, or training and the atmosphere, while very different to previous years, reminded us of what privilege it is to work with young people in education.
We are extremely proud of our students and the strong set of results that they have left AVA with. These are a confirmation of their hard work and perseverance over many years.
Congratulations again for everything you’ve achieved in this most difficult of years.
