FoBS Summer Fair 2018

The Fete is as much a community event for the school and the local area, as it is to make a profit. It is an opportunity for the children to have a fun day out and for the parents to get a chance to socialise. Overall the Fete raised a very successful profit of £1800.00 on the day. We just wanted to say a big big thank you, to everyone who came to the Summer Fete and as importantly to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a great success.

The sun shone, lots of people came and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time and of course we had displays by Lil Dragons Taekwon-Do Academy and a Maypole Dance by our year 3’s. .

In addition we would like to thank all the local businesses who donated to the raffle and to Michael Anthony Estate Agents for their very generous support. This year they donated the top three raffle prizes and spread the word using estate agents signs in and around the local area.

FoBS Chair Andrea said: "The Summer Fair is always a real hit with the children and this year was no exception. It’s an occasion for the whole community to enjoy and is brilliant for bringing families together to all have a great time and in the process raise valuable funds for the school.

Headteacher, Jonathan Walker, enjoyed the day too and said: “The Summer fete has, over the years, become a real herald of the nearing of the end of the school year and I never cease to be amazed by the magnificent effort of parents and community.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable day in the baking hot sunshine and will have made a significant contribution to the work of the school.”
