PUPIL PREMIUM

The school may be able to receive additional money to help children from particular groups fulfil their potential and achieve well.  This includes children whose families are unemployed or on low incomes (those earning up to about £16,000 per year), children whose parents are in the forces and those in care.

The government currently funds school meals for all pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 through its 'Universal Free School Meals scheme.  However, those meeting the family income criteria for pupil premium in Reception and Years 1 and 2 should still apply for Free School Meals, along with those with pupils in Year 3 upwards.

In order to ensure that the school receives both free school meals and the pupil premium, parents who think they may be eligible on the basis of their family income should complete the appropriate form which can be downloaded below.  The school will then use an eligibility checking service to confirm that the family is entitled.  All queries and applications will be treated confidentially and parents should contact the school office for further advice or support.
