YEAR 5 HOME LEARNING

In year 5 we have been learning all about World War 1 in topic and non-chronological reports in English, so we thought children could combine these skills and produce a Non-Chronological report about a WW1 battle of their choice. We would suggest the Battle of the Somme, The Battle of Passchendaele, Battle of Verdun or Battle of Jutland as some of the more well-known battles.

In maths, we are learning about fractions, which relies heavily upon times table knowledge. Therefore, we would like children to log on to Times Table Rockstars and play at least 10 studio games so that their baseline time is set. They can of course play other games too! If your child has lost their TTRockstars log in, please just practice times tables in any way you see fit.
