Remembrance Day – Wednesday 11 November
On Wednesday 11 November, our Academy community will come together to remember those who have lost their lives in war and conflict and to honour those who serve today.
At 10:45am, the Academy will observe a period of silence, followed by learners laying wreaths at the soldier memorial at the front of the school.
Students who belong to Cadets, Scouts, Guides, St John's, or other uniformed groups are invited to wear their uniforms for the day. (Please note that this does not include sports/gymnastic teams/kits).
Poppies are available for £1 from Student Parliament during form time and from reception, with all proceeds supporting the Royal British Legion.
We encourage families to support this important occasion as we remember and reflect together.
