A fire crew and their engine visited school today to talk to our Reception children. It was a real highlight — the children loved seeing the fire engine up close (and even climbing inside!), and we could hear squeals of delight all the way from the staff room!
The AVA Parent Teacher Association has kindly purchased new equipment for our sensory gym, helping us further develop this valuable space for pupils who need time to regulate, reset and feel ready to return to learning.
Our Year 3 WOW Day launched their upcoming Stone Age topic — always a firm favourite with the children. The costumes were fantastic and certainly made the lunch hall an exciting place to be!
School finishes Friday 13th February (normal time).
This week, our school will take part in a SIAMS inspection, taking place on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th February.

AVA’s very own Mr Steel is bringing his successful MK Monstars Dodgeball Club to Aylesbury Vale Academy.

Our choir continues to delight the local community and has done a wonderful job performing at local events.
AVA staff came together on Friday 21 November for a lively Quiz Night in support of Diabetes UK. A dozen teams from both Primary and Secondary phases took part, raising almost £1,000 for the charity.
