Year 4 Pupils Enjoy Inspiring Visit to the Ashmolean Museum

The children had a fantastic time on their recent visit to the Ashmolean Museum, where they enjoyed a day full of discovery, curiosity and hands-on learning.
From the moment they arrived, pupils were full of excitement and represented the school beautifully throughout the trip. They took part in an engaging workshop led by the museum team, where they carefully explored a range of fascinating artefacts and asked thoughtful questions.
A particular highlight of the day was learning about Ancient Egypt and discovering how museums care for, protect and preserve precious historical objects. It was wonderful to see classroom learning brought to life, as pupils made links to their history studies in Years 3 and 4 and confidently shared their ideas with both adults and classmates.
Throughout the visit, the children demonstrated excellent manners, teamwork and listening skills as they explored the museum. Staff and members of the public commented on how polite, courteous and well-mannered they were.
We are incredibly proud of the children for their behaviour and enthusiasm for learning. Thank you, as always, for your support in helping to make this memorable and enriching experience possible.
The Ashmolean Museum is free to visit and open to the public.
