Help Us Support the Rebuild of Lynx Gymnastics Centre

AVA is delighted to be partnering with the Aylesbury Wombles community group to support the rebuilding of the Lynx Gymnastics Centre following the devastating fire that caused significant damage to the facility.

We are inviting all members of our school community to get involved by recycling their empty drink cans. Simply rinse and compress your cans before placing them in the designated collection bin at reception. The cans will be passed on to the Aylesbury Wombles, who recycle them and donate all proceeds towards the rebuilding of Lynx Gym.

This cause is particularly meaningful to AVA. Lynx Gym has played a significant role in the journeys of many of our students, including Olympic bronze medallists Jessica and Jennifer Gadirova. The sisters attended AVA from Year 7 to Year 11 and trained extensively at Lynx Gym on their path to representing Team GB at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Lynx Gym has been a cornerstone of the local sporting community for many years, providing opportunities for countless young gymnasts to develop their skills, confidence and ambition. The loss of the facility has been felt across the community, making its rebuilding an important goal for so many local families and athletes.

Every can recycled brings us one step closer to helping Lynx Gym reopen its doors. What may seem like a small action can make a big difference when we come together as a community.

Please support this fantastic initiative by bringing in your empty cans and encouraging friends and family to do the same. Together, we can help restore a facility that has inspired generations of young athletes and continues to hold a special place in the heart of AVA.
