We were delighted to welcome acclaimed children's author Phil Earle for our final author visit of the academic year and what a fantastic way to end the year!
Phil had pupils and staff laughing throughout the session as he shared stories from his childhood and explained how his own experiences inspire the characters and adventures in his books. The excitement continued with a pupil-versus-teacher drawing competition, where Logan in Year 5 proudly claimed victory over Mr Johnson!
A huge thank you to all the parents and carers who have purchased books throughout the year. Your support helps make these author visits possible. They play a vital role in inspiring a love of reading from an early age, while giving children the opportunity to meet the people behind the stories and gain an insight into the creative writing process.
We are already looking forward to welcoming more authors and illustrators in the new academic year as we continue to nurture a lifelong love of reading.
