World Diabetes Day

Tuesday 14th November was World Diabetes Awareness Day and this week many of us in school are wearing a blue ribbon to show our solidarity with those who have to cope with managing diabetes every day.

Diabetes is a condition that can be invisible to others but that is quietly and resiliently experienced by many young people. We know from speaking to children and young people with the condition that it can cause, pain and anxiety as well as the physical dangers that can occur. Despite this, people with diabetes are the same as everyone else and want to live happy and fulfilled lives. As we end the week, we ask our community to think of those in our school community who live with this life-long condition and remember them in your prayers.
